QuickStart MicroFocus (OpenText) UFT
In this tutorial we'll be covering how to get started with TestModeller.io for MicroFocus UFT Function Libraries. This is aimed for first-time users along with users who have an existing MicroFocus UFT automation framework.
Tutorial
1. Install Prerequisites
Here we'll be installing all the prerequisites you need to get started with test automation in UFT through TestModeller.io.
- Request a free Curiosity Modeller trial.
- A valid installation of MicroFocus UFT One
2.1 Import UFT Object Repository
Here we'll be importing your UFT object repository for consumption in TestModeller.io.
2.2 Import UFT Function Library
Here we'll be importing your UFT function library for consumption in TestModeller.io.
3. Build a Model
Start creating an automation model of the system under test.
4. Generate Automation
Generate associated VB scripts for your model.
5. Executing Tests
Now you've generated your visual basic automation scripts for UFT, let's import them into UFT and run them.
6. Create Custom Code Snippets
TestModeller.io is built with flexibility in mind. You'll often want to embed your own custom code or make calls to external libraries in your UFT scripts. To facilitate that you can customise and create your own code snippet actions which can be overlaid on the model.
