# Jira Xray

[JIRA Xray](https://www.getxray.app/) is primarily a test case management tool, built as a plugin within the JIRA ecosystem. It has been designed to handle and manage test cases, offering functionalities for documenting, planning, executing, and tracking these cases. However, it remains predominantly a tool for organizing and managing test case data.

The capabilities of JIRA Xray can be significantly expanded with the integration of Quality Modeller, an advanced model-based testing tool. Quality Modeller is equipped with a specialized connector that can directly export tests to JIRA Xray. This streamlines the transfer of test data, simplifying the test management process.

The integration of Quality Modeller and JIRA Xray not only improves the effectiveness of test case management in JIRA Xray, but also opens up the world of model-based testing, leading to a significant uplift in the software testing capabilities.
