# Import from DrawIO

In this article, we'll cover Importing an existing Diagram from DrawIO.

To get started with this tutorial, create a **DrawIO model**, or use one which already exists**.**

Go to the File Menu and then select to perform a Export As, then select XML (Note: do not save as compressed). Save the XML file locally on your machine.

Once exported, head over to Quality Modeller and navigate to the Import Menu, then select More...

After clicking Import the model will be imported to the selected directory.
